Queso + Chips = Good Times

Queso, bitches!
.
Since I haven't been going anywhere lately, the Ted Stryker Travel Reviews column has been lacking. However, I eat nearly every day. Sometimes I don't even eat a ham sandwich.
.
So today is the first Ted Stryker Eating Out Review, for your enjoyment.
.
The other day, I got an email from Qdoba offering me a free side of chips and queso on account of my membership in the Q Club. Giddy up.
.
I've never had the side of chips and queso before, so I was excitd to order them. I enjoy Qdoba queso. But I was figuring that it would resemble the nachos and cheese that you get from a Bucks or Brewers game. You know, the 1 square inch tub of cheese with a couple of chips.
.
That's not how Q rolls. This was a chili bowl of hot queso, with a bunch of chips (see picture for vat of queso). I had no chance of finishing these when I had a burrito to tackle as well, so I rolled home with my queso for a second serving. Brilliant!
.
I've been a Q fan for at least a decade now. My respect level has been raised, if anything. I salute you, Qdoba.
.
Also, just a note to the FTC, which is now considering babysitting bloggers to make sure that they aren't paid or given stuff to endorse products, Qdoba didn't give me squat in exchange for this glowing review. Other than the free queso. Which they gave me for being a Q Club member. F U, Obama.

  1. I miss weekend morning Qdoba runs. Mostly Paul dropping his nachos on the floor.

  2. The queso at the Q used to be better in my opinion. It used to be a little thinner and have less peppers. I find it a little bit too think and chunky now. Although, it's still very good.

Nothing, I repeat NOTHING beats a Qdoba breakfast burrito. The only Q that I know serves breakfast is the one at 124th and Capitol drive. Worth the trip.

I know what I'm having tomorrow AM.

  4. Yep. 124th and Capitol is the only one in the area. See you in the morning...
